Clachtoll Beach Campsite Terms and conditions

Welcome to Clachtoll Beach Campsite and this little piece of paradise. We really want you to have a great time when you are here and you will find we may be a little different from other sites in that you will not see lots of signs telling you what you can and cannot do and we are sure that you will understand our values as a family site.

Whilst we want everyone to enjoy themselves there a few pieces of advice we would like you to know however.

All of the staff on site hold first aid certificates, (hopefully you will never need us but we have a large first aid kit!) All our staff are also Disclosure (Scotland) certified and have current PVG certification.

We want everyone to be safe on site so the speed limit is 5 mph through the site and also the road leading to the beach. We value all of you, especially our children and animals so please keep a look out for them. Also parents and carers please look out for the children, they are your responsibility.

We love dogs here but understand that some others might not, so please keep them on the lead at all times on site and clean up after them (we provide free bags and bins) There are also water stations for them around the site and doggy treats in the office.

Our facilities are cleaned thoroughly every day and checked thereafter every hour but just so you know you are more than likely going to find a male member of staff in any of the toilets during periods of cleaning (don't worry we will shout!) NO WETSUITS IN THE TOILETS AT ANY TIME PLEASE (we have hot outside showers to wash all the sand off both for us humans and our 4 legged friends)

All water on site including those at the pitches is drinking water

BBQ's are of course allowed on site and you might even find us popping by for a bite to eat, but please keep them off the ground and use the blocks provided. There can be damage caused to the grass and please don't throw hot water onto the grass either as it causes as much damage as a hot BBQ does. Our grass is very fragile and precious to us.

Campfires are dangerous around tents and are better enjoyed down on the beach. If you have a stove with a chimney in a tent there must be a spark arrestor fitted.

For noise purposes we do not allow generators onto site and also appreciate that people can often forget the time when enjoying themselves but we ask that the campsite is quiet for 2230hrs. If you want to enjoy yourselves further there is a fantastic beach only 100 metres away where you can continue the fun (be mindful walking back later on through tents and guy ropes)

We understand that lots of out guests bring drones with them and whilst they are fun and give great pictures they are not allowed to be flown over the site for disturbance and privacy reasons.

When it comes to leave, much as though we know you want to stay we ask that you vacate your pitch by 1100hrs as we need to get it ready for the next guests. We will always try and help if you need a little longer to pack or are wanting to enjoy your stay until later in the day.

We do not offer refunds and by booking with us (either online, in person or via telephone) you understand to secure your booking we require one nights non refundable deposit at the point of booking. If you cancel up to 30 days prior to your arrival we will offer to move your booking (where possible) to a date up to a year from the date of your original booking. Any period less than 30 days notice and that offer cannot be guaranteed and is discretionary.  PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU CANCEL WITHIN A WEEK OF YOUR BOOKING DATE YOU WILL BE LIABLE TO THE FULL OUTSTANDING AMOUNT. During these difficult and strange times we will refund you any deposit paid due to a government induced closure of the site.  Camping in the UK has changed and it is good practice to have insurance for any unforeseen eventuality that stops you coming to the site. If, in the event you need to make an insurance claim for your holiday direct the company to ourselves and we will help where possible. A disinclination to travel due to poor weather or any other change to your plans does not constitute grounds for a refund!

We also reserve the right to remove anyone from the site that we believe is causing annoyance or distress to others and will cancel their booking immediately with no refund. (sorry but we want everyone to have a great time)
